Catie Coon is the founder of JAIA Yoga Studio. She began her love affair with Yoga and path to healing in 2000 when she began practicing and teaching Ashtanga Yoga. Catie is a certified E-RYT Yoga Teacher and is currently studying with the Integrative Yoga Therapy school for her Yoga therapy license. She is very grateful for all of the wise teachers and the many inspirations that have blessed and inspired her along her path. The practice of Yoga helps Catie to find a calm in the storms of life and is constantly reminding her that the present moment is the only true moment we have, and to live each day with purpose and meaning. To find equanimity in her practice and teaching she strive's to remain a sattvic (pure) state of living. Catie's teaching is greatly inspired by Bhakti Yoga which is the path of Devotional Yoga. Her teaching also has a heavy emphasis on not only the integrity of the physical alignment and therapeutic aspects of the practice, yet also on the energetic alignment and emotionally therapeutic aspects of Yoga. Catie is the inspiration behind Spirit of the Rose Healing Center which is her other form of offering Holistic Spiritual Therapy for the Mind, Body and Spirit. She is a Woman Rising Certified Flower Essence Therapist & a Holistic Health and Wellness Mentor and is certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She feels blessed having been given the opportunity to share Yoga, health, and healing with others. Catie hopes to expose and inspire others to a life practice by extending her unconditional love, and the bliss and healing that a Yogic lifestyle offers.

I began my yoga journey in 2011. Initially I viewed yoga as solely another form of physical exercise, but I kept coming back for the mental and physical bliss I felt after each class. I received my RYT 200 through Noah Maze’ (YOGAMAZE’) in January 2015. Through my pose and alignment knowledge, I strive to teach my students the mechanics of the pose while moving mindfully from one posture to the next. Focusing on linking breath with movement, I hope to create the space for my class to find their own mind, body, and breath connection. As an avid exerciser, I am also passionate about teaching mobility to a wide range of athletes (weight lifters, runners, etc.) Throughout the years, I have completed numerous workshops and trainings to further my knowledge. I have studied with Rocky Heron, Dice Iida-Klein, Briohny Smyth, Kathryn Budig, Robert Boustany, and completed prenatal/post-partum training with Linda Spackman. When I’m not at the studio, you can catch me working out, running, baking, and blogging.

Cory Punto began and continues her training through YogaFit Training Systems International. She has been influenced by Ghislaine Rabin, Joan Livesay locally; Sadie Nardini and Beth Shaw nationally. The biggest influences on her practice continue to be her students. She practies Yoga because it continues to improve every other aspect of her life. Teaching Yoga gives her an opportunity to use her gifts of communication and empathy; allowing her to help people build better relationships with their bodies, and the world around them. She is passionate about being the best mother and mentor she can be, and she adores art and architecture, and anything tree-ish.
Natalia’s been practicing yoga since 2004 and studying Ashtanga Yoga with Maggie Clayton and Jennifer Engleman since 2005. Natalia began teaching regularly since January 2010 at the request of her teachers. Since the birth of her daughter and graduation from nursing school in 2011, she began to take her study and practice of yoga very seriously. Natalia has begun her studies with Noah Maze (www.noahmazeyoga.com/), a renowned teacher based in Los Angeles. She will complete her 200hr certification with Noah in November 2013, and will resume traveling to Los Angeles December 2013 through November 2014 to complete all 500 training hours with Noah. Natalia currently teaches instructional style Hatha Yoga classes and Ashtanga Yoga at This Pose Yoga in Oklahoma City. Natalia has a strong voice and a clear and concise style of teaching. Her students appreciate her depth of knowledge in pose anatomy and alignment, and they find that her presentation of yoga enables them to cognitively access the poses, thereby deepening their mind body connection. They also find her very challenging! Natalia is also a registered nurse, has an undergraduate degree in biology, is an amateur birder, lover of the natural world, pop science enthusiast, and bicycler.
As a mother of three little girls that are constantly on the go, Yoga has always been a way for Kelly to maintain a bit of stillness in her life; teaching her to go inside herself and calm the monkey mind. Yoga has helped bring peace to her life and allow for more patience when life gets tricky. Kelly is a certified RYT 200 Vinyasa Flow teacher. She has studied with Noah Maze, Rocky Heron, Kathryn Budig, Ricky Tran, Briohny Smyth, Dice Lida-Klein, Anton Mackey,Catie Coon and Jennifer Skaggs. She is always trying to find a way to broaden her knowledge of yoga. She is blessed to be the manager of Yoga at Tiffany's in Norman and work with such amazing people with such beautiful hearts and talents.

I was introduced to yoga in 2002 at the beginning of my professional dance career, while pursuing a Pilates Mat Certification through the Physical Mind Institute in Houston, TX. I eventually began teaching both yoga and Pilates in 2005 in my spare time, as I found both to be a compliment to dance. Although I am a now a Spanish Instructor and graduate student at the University of Oklahoma, I enjoy maintaining a consistent yoga practice while I continue to perform as a dancer with Perpetual Motion Dance Company in OKC.
I find that yoga keeps me centered, calm, and humble; allowing me to be a kinder and gentler person in my daily life. I feel so very fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to share my yoga practice with others and hope that my students leave my classes with a better sense of themselves, their minds, and bodies.

Nikki’s journey on her mat began in 2008. Having a very active background, yoga spoke her language. Through movement I began healing and finding more awareness. Falling deeply in love with practicing daily. In January 2014 completing her first yoga teacher training, having opportunity’s to learn from soulful teachers Anton Mackey Holmes, Mackenzie Miller, Kathryn Budig, Patrick Beach and genuine teachers in the Oklahoma City Metro. The healing and open mindedness that can be brought about has forever molded my spirit. Yoga connects us to our true self’s, acceptance, love and so much more.
Nikki enjoys flight, inversion and playing a lot on the mat. You can expect smiling lots of movement, good beats and connection of mind, body and soul in Nikki’s classes.
Shane’s yoga journey began after several life traumas, and athletic lifestyle that led to major injuries. He turned to a yoga class after losing his enjoyment for the gym. Falling in love instantly with the stillness and ability to find peace on his mat he was overwhelmed thinking he was only going in for a workout, and finding out it was a complete physical, mental and spiritual transformation. He challenges you to find kindness, peace and compassion through your practice.
Inverting is second nature to Clare, a former high-level gymnast. However, her yoga journey began in attempt to find grounding and balance that her life lacked. Clare received her 200 hour RYT training from Rocky Heron of YogaMaze. She has studied with Robert Boustany, Briohny Smyth and Dice Iida-Klein, amongst others. She currently teaches meditative, alignment-based Vinyasa Flow and studies Health and Exercise Science at the University of Oklahoma. Her personal yoga practice consists of pranayama, meditation and asana of various styles. Clare is a musician, which she sees as part of her practice as well. She continues to expand in knowledge each day – always a student first.
I fell in love with yoga in 2012. I run, crossfit, and spin; but had never felt so calm and grounded in my life until I practiced yoga. After practicing for a few months I began seeing improvements in my body and activities. I now turn to yoga to calm my mind, and restore my body. I completed my 200RYT certification with Tiffany Cruikshank in the spring of 2014 and completed training with CorePower Yoga in the fall of 2013. I am eager to continue gaining more knowledge about what yoga can do for athletes, and for myself. I am excited to assist others in their adventure to find out how valuable their practice is on, and off the mat like I have.
Victoria Richmond leads alignment-focused Vinyasa Flow classes that emphasize strength, flexibility, and play. Her intuitive classes unite subtle physical and emotional energies in the body, while her caring and intelligent teaching style makes yoga relatable for students of all levels. Her natural love for life allows her to speak from the heart and inspire. Victoria has her 100 hour certification in Baptist Power Yoga from YogaDeza in Fayetteville, Arkansas, as well as 200 hours of Hatha Yoga training with EveryOne Yoga School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her passion for community practice and mindfulness makes her a major influence in the growth and evolution of yoga in Northeastern Oklahoma and beyond.
After finding yoga in 2006 Jenilyn started her practice and accepted a secret mission to share yoga with the world! Yoga is different than any other type of workout because it is designed to improve every single system of the body. Jenilyn loves to help ease people into their own practice in a way that serves the bio individuality of each unique person. She feels blessed to have started her practice under Catie Coon and to have learned from Ricky Tran, Natalia Callard, Matthew Sanford, BNS Iyengar, and Robert Boustany, completing training in 2015 with Rocky Heron from YOGAMAZE’, 200 RYT through Yoga Alliance. Jenilyn has been practicing deep tissue massage therapy since 2003. Her knowledge of the human body and love for yoga philosophy has shaped her slow, restorative, anatomy focused teaching methods. Jenilyn offers private or group lessons as well as combination yoga and massage packages, to tailor to your healing needs. When she is not in the studio, she can be found frolicking across the countryside with her husband or at home reading under a pile of cats.
